Some master cylinders have multiple sealing diameters. Generally speaking, we price these according to this simple formula: First diameter-$100. Second diameter-$45. Third diameter-$30. Fourth and subsequent diameters-$20 each.

*If the second or third diameter is a reaction port or control valve bore, the charge is $30 or $20 respectively. Reaction ports or control valves are small, shallow bores usually found at right angles to the main bore or at the opposite end from the main bore. The pistons that fit the small bores are controlled by vacuum diaphragms. A similar situation is found in that British Lockheed dual circuit master cylinder with the brake pressure differential switch in a small bore at the back of the cylinder, and the pricing is the same.

Some cylinders present unusual challenges due to unique designs. It is not possible to catalog all the variations we may encounter. Accordingly, we reserve the right to adjust pricing after inspecting. We will call before completing such work.

If we must spend an excessive amount of time stripping parts from cylinder castings, we may make an additional charge. This happens very rarely, and usually the customer is aware before the cylinder is sent that parts are stuck or frozen.
